While children’s rooms are ultimately created by the parents, the kiddos still have a voice and each room should reflect their personalities. The tiny resident of this room wanted her favorite colors, red and purple, to be prominent. These type of color combinations risk looking garish and cartoony, but the key, Mark and his team tell us, is to take a child’s requests and make minor tweaks. In this case the beloved purple becomes lavender, red becomes more of a poppy and voila, the whole space becomes a beautiful room the whole family can enjoy.
