Get the Scoop on this Awesome Kitchen

Interior Designer, Lauri Fitzgerald recently worked with Platinum Series on a beautiful transitional home for a family of four. The home’s open layout has a dynamic yet soothing atmosphere and features clean lines and crisp whites. Lauri recently shared the details on what went into the home’s fabulous kitchen.

The Countertops: Volakas marble

The Island: “We used Via Lactea granite for the top of the island. The island is huge; it’s 7 feet by 12 feet. So it actually took two slabs of granite to cover the island.”

The Lighting: “The light fixture over the island is from Maxim.”

The Backsplash: Volakas marble tile

The Breakfast Nook: “The table and sectional were both custom made. The top of the table is clear alder and the legs are stainless steel.”

The Floors: 2 ¼ inch Walnut

The Color Palette: “The color palette is off white throughout the house. All the tile is pretty neutral. This was a really early decision—we wanted to keep it light.”

The Challenges: “They’ve got young kids so we wanted everything to be durable and easy to clean.”
